Farshad Family is Managing Director for Nielsen Media, India. He leads Nielsen’s media businesses in television, online, and telecom including Client Service and Product Leadership initiatives. Previously within Nielsen, Farshad worked in Nielsen Media’s strategy and business development group, where he led initiatives related to corporate strategy, partnerships, and new ventures.
Farshad joined Nielsen from McKinsey & Company, where he served as a leader in McKinsey’s Global Media, Entertainment and Information practice. In this role, Farshad was responsible for serving clients in a variety of media and telecom sectors particularly on issues of strategy, growth and innovation for leading companies in television, online advertising, newspapers, radio, outdoor advertising, and consumer electronics.
Prior to McKinsey, Farshad helped launch Tigris, a boutique management consulting firm in New York, which focused on supply chain management and operations.
Farshad holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.
