The Nielsen Company recently announced a number of senior appointments in India, to further the Company’s commitment to client service excellence. Effective August, 2007, Gita Ram, Malini Mathur and Anantha Rao have all joined Nielsen in India as Client Solution Directors. Ram will be based in Bangalore, Mathur and Rao will be located in Delhi.
Ms Gita Ram joins The Nielsen Company from ZenithOptimedia where she was Executive Vice President. In her new role at Nielsen, Gita will drive Nielsen’s Qualitative Research business in South India. Gita has 18 years’ experience in media and qualitative research. She began her career in media with O&M and then moved to Quantum Market Research. She has also worked with Grey, Mudra (OMS) and research company Synovate, where she led their Qualitative Research group. Gita holds a masters degree majoring in Clinical Psychology from the National Institute of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences, Bangalore.
Ms Malini Mathur will head Nielsen’s Qualitative Research team in Delhi and joins the Company from Perfetti Van Melle India, a market-leading confectionery company, where she was a Market Research Consultant. Ms.Mathur will be responsible for expanding Nielsen’s qualitative research business in Delhi.Mathur has an MBA specializing in International Business from the Fore School of Management, Delhi.
Mr Anantha Rao will develop Nielsen India’s client relationships by identifying synergies and raising the quality of the Company’s product and service deliverables. Rao joins Nielsen India from IMRB, where he was Associate Vice President, Media & Panel Group and brings with him over 17 years’ experience in the field. Mr Rao holds an MBA specializing in Marketing
