ACNielsen | Employee eQ™

Building Employee Commitment for Success

Attracting and retaining high-performing employees committed to your organisation is fundamental to offering your customers high-quality products and services at competitive prices.

Outstanding companies worldwide maintain sustainable competitive advantage by understanding their customers’ requirements and providing superior products and services that are aligned with their organisation and employees.

These companies pay as much attention to their employee needs as they do to their customer needs.  In the new economy, employees must be as much the focus of management attention as their customers are.

ACNielsen Employee eQ, part of the ACNielsen | eQ™ suite of management products, establishes the relationship between customer and employee loyalty and how it impacts on company profitability.

Employee eQ offers strategic directions for building and maintaining employee commitment and performance.

Insights for a Knowledge-Based Organisation

Employee eQ delivers insights and tools for managing the complexity of employee needs in an environment where knowledge is the key to business success. Through Employee eQ, you will know:

  • The state of your organization’s employee ‘health’ or ‘equity’ in terms of their perceptions and commitment
  • How to allocate resources for improving employee equity
  • The key influencers of employee retention and defection
  • The actions required to motivate and attract employees to stay
  • What drives employees to leave
  • How leadership and management can play an effective role in building and maintaining employee equity.

How Employee eQ Works

ACNielsen professionals work with clients to design the Employee eQ programme best suited to their needs and objectives, as well as to provide a unique and innovative approach to measuring and managing employee satisfaction and commitment.

An Employee eQ Cycle monitors the ongoing health of the organisation, rather than conducting a one-off annual exercise.  Clients may choose one or more aspects of Employee eQ and implement them at the pace and frequency best suited to their organisation’s goals:

Employee eQ Baseline is the core tool, providing a company-wide assessment of employees’ perceptions towards the company and their work.  The results provide a baseline for developing overall corporate strategy, setting priorities and allocating resources for improvement.

Leadership Effectiveness evaluates the effectiveness of core competencies and provides a 360-degree company-wide assessment of leadership at all levels. This may be conducted concurrently or after the Baseline programme, to identify leadership issues affecting employee commitment, as well as opportunities to develop potential leadership within the organisation.

eQuip Workshops may be conducted by ACNielsen professionals on or off-site to deploy and cascade results from senior executive levels down to front-line or operations staff.  An eQuip Toolbox enables managers and supervisors to execute and monitor action plans.

eQuation offers a simulation tool for use at workshops or as a standalone, to determine the effects of improvements or changes on overall employee satisfaction and commitment.

eQ CheckUP is an optional interim survey to identify current ‘hot buttons’ that may not have surfaced during the Baseline survey, and which could potentially affect employee satisfaction and commitment.

Management Readiness surveys key managers to assess their state of readiness to implement change, preparing senior leadership for effective use of employee results and identifying potential barriers to change management prior to the Baseline survey.

Employee Roundtables are recommended on a regular basis, but are most effective as a post-Baseline session, to gain better insights on the results and seek employee input on suggestions for improvements.  ACNielsen professionals conduct these sessions to provide an objective and confidential channel for regular feedback.

By analysing employee and customer satisfaction measures, ACNielsen professionals will help you understand how strongly your organisation is aligned and where potential internal or external risks may be.
